{The Toss}

Did you do a bouquet toss?

I did. I sorta aimed it as well.  Oops.

What is the point of a bouquet toss? Tradition. Hope. Embarrassment for single women. A fantasy for little girls?

Some women would die without doing a bouquet toss.  Others protest it vehemently.  What are some other options?

1. Throw a bouquet that separates into a multitude of smaller bouquets.
2. Give the bouquet to a mother, grandmother, or important woman in your life.
3. Play a game. Winner gets the bouquet.
4. Do a ladies only dance (not just unmarried ladies).

What did you do? Throw or no go?

Happy Tossing!

{Rock the Dress}

Did you take Rock the Dress pics?  I am still planning on having a photo shoot.

I love the idea of rockin' my dress casual style in a unique setting where I don't have to care about messing up my dress or making the guests wait too long.

Where would you have your photo shoot?  The beach?  The mountains?  A train station?  A large city?

Contact me if you'd like your Rock the Dress pics to be featured on Chapter 13!

Rock it!

{DESSERT}

Who doesn't love dessert?

Your wedding dessert is just as much a place for you to show your personality as your dress is.

For us, we had a friend make a simple 3 tiered cake to cut.  Then we dug into an amazing ice cream bar.  I am talking hot fudge, nuts, chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, waffle cone bowls.  Delish!

Here are some other unique, quirky, and delicious dessert ideas!

1. Cupcakes
2. Cake Pops
3. Candy Bar
4. Cookie Buffet (or a buffet of a variety of desserts)
5. Pie
6. Whoopie Pies
7. Chocolate Foundue
8. Cake for eight (Use a unique cake at each table for the centerpiece)
9. Truffles
10. Cotton Candy
11. Kettle Corn
12. S'mores
13. foundue

Happy Sweets Searching!

I have another great location to share with you!

I will be coordinating a wedding at this location in August.  If you love beach weddings and gorgeous vistas, then you'll love this location.

The reception will be here (less that one mile away).

Sidenote: If you want to have your wedding on Pismo Beach, literally on the beach, it is free of charge!

Happy Planning

{Real Bride #3}

Meet Kat!  Real Bride #3!  I will coordinating her wedding this summer. They are getting married at THIS beautiful location.http://http://www.figueroamountainfarmhouse.com/

1. So far I'd have to say sifting through all the bridal magazines and scoping out all the blogs (there are some good ones out there!). I could spend hours doing that! It really helps to create a vision for our wedding.

2. I'd have to say all the unkown costs that accompany a weddding. No matter how much you think you've nailed down a budget, it will almost always end up being more.

3. How much of a processs it is!! Don't get me wrong, it can be really fun at times, but there is a lot to do. I had no idea! You really have to set aside time to dedicate completely to wedding planning. It's like having a second job.

4. Where we can, we've been purchasing items instead of renting them. I've found that a lot of the items that are listed in the rentals can be purchased in bulk for the same price or cheaper (i.e. linens). You can always sell the items after the wedding and make some of your money back. I've also been scoping out thrift stores for some inexpesive, vintage decorative pieces....you never know what you'll find!

5. The decorating! Of course, I'm also really looking forward to the actual wedding day and celebrating with my husband, family and friends. That really keeps the excitement flowing throughout the planning process ;)

My favorite wedding blogs are:
